These are things gathered along the way. Stories of people and places, of faith and fear, of ordinary lives and improbable accomplishments; things overheard, remembered, researched, imagined. Some are true, some may become true only in the telling. I write them because I cannot quite let them go. And then I leave them here, like a lost envelope pressed into the earth by the footsteps of strangers, without knowing who will find it, or when. Perhaps someone will bend down, open it, and find inside something that makes the world feel a little larger, stranger, kinder, or more possible. I like the thought of that. See more...
